Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Hesperia Crash on Escondido
HESPERIA, CA (April 17, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after an accident along Escondido Avenue in Hesperia.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the collision on Friday evening. Officers reported the crash at about 7:22 p.m.
The incident happened on April 16 when a vehicle and the bicyclist collided for an unknown reason. The car hit the bicycle rider at 7339 Escondido Avenue in Hesperia.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the Ranchero Road intersection. They found the cyclist lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
An air ambulance then took the victim to the Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. The patient was in and out of consciousness and bleeding from the head at the time.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver involved stopped and stayed at the site following the collision.
They soon forced the road to shut down after the Hesperia bicycle accident. They added that a white Toyota Corolla was located near where the crash took place.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the incident.
