3 Injured in Hesperia Crash at First Avenue and Eucalyptus Street
HESPERIA, CA (August 16, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash at First Avenue and Eucalyptus Street in Hesperia.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:40 p.m.
Hesperia police said a black Toyota Corolla and a black Honda Accord collided for an unknown reason in the city. The two cars crashed at the intersection of First Avenue and Eucalyptus Street.
The Toyota plowed into a yard of a corner home upon impact and damaged a chain link fence and multiple wooden railroad posts. A woman riding the Corolla ended trapped inside.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then freed her from the wreckage. A helicopter flew the patient to a trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The Honda came to a stop several feet away, blocked the driveway of the house and soon crashed the chain link fence.
Its male driver sustained a visible injury to his ankle while his female passenger survived with minor injuries. A ground ambulance rushed them to a hospital for further aid.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, police forced the area of First Avenue and Eucalyptus Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 760-947-1500.
