Boy, 10, Killed in Collision on 15 Freeway Saturday
Hesperia, CA (May 15, 2021) – A 10-year-old child died following a car crash that occurred on Interstate 15 Freeway in Hesperia Saturday morning.
The Victor Valley News Group reported a black Chevy Avalanche pulling a travel trailer lost control in while traveling in the northbound side of the freeway. Officials said the Chevy eventually overturned and rolled towards the center divider.
According to the article published online, the juvenile was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle ended up landing over the child. Several Good Samaritans reportedly stopped at the scene to help lift the vehicle from the child pinned underneath.
Deadly Car Accident in Hesperia, May 15
Personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the crash site shortly after 9:50 a.m. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the child but the young boy succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Chevy.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville station continue to investigate the fatal car crash in Hesperia.
