1 Injured in Hesperia Hit-and-Run Crash on 15 Freeway Near Oak Hill Road
HESPERIA, CA (January 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road in Hesperia.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident early Tuesday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 2:13 a.m.
CHP said a gray Ford Fiesta and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Hesperia. The two crashed on the northbound side of the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Ford who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to render aid and then fled the area. The cause of the Hesperia hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway to shut down near Oak Hill following the incident.
