Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hesperia Crash on Main Street Near Maple Avenue
HESPERIA, CA (September 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash on Main Street near Maple Avenue in Hesperia.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 9 a.m.
Deputies said the rider of a 2011 Yamaha motorcycle and a white 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer collided in the city of Hesperia. The two crashed in the 14400 block of Main Street, west of Maple Avenue.
The incident happened when the Mitsubishi tried to make a left-hand turn into the parking lot of the Stater Brothers. The car turned directly into the path of the motorcyclist.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The Lancer obtained significant damage to the passenger side and came to a stop at the entrance of the shopping center. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the rider and the motorcycle down on the ground as a result of the collision. A helicopter flew the patient to an out-of-area trauma center for treatment of critical injuries.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the female driver of the car stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced the no.2 lane of Main Street to shut down near Maple after the incident. The cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
