
3 Seriously Injured in Highland Park Crash on 110 Freeway and Avenue 43
HIGHLAND PARK, CA (May 14, 2023) – Several were seriously injured after a crash on the 110 Freeway and Avenue 43 in Highland Park.
According to the NBC Los Angeles and FOX 11 News, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 14 at around 7:20 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said five vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Highland Park. The cars crashed on the southbound 110 Freeway at Avenue 43.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The victims, a woman and a man in their 50s and a man in his 40s, sustained major injuries upon impact. Medical personnel rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment.
The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Highland Park crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway to shut down for about two hours near Avenue 43 following the wreck.
