Hit-and-Run Driver Sebastian Rodriguez, 30, Crashes Into Two Tulare Houses
TULARE, CA (May 20, 2021) – Police identified Sebastian Rodriguez as the hit-and-run driver who crashed into two Tulare houses.
Authorities is looking for the 30-year-old Tulare man after he left two women injured in the collision on Thursday morning.
The incident began when Sebastian Rodriguez was driving a GMC Yukon at a high rate of speed in Tulare. Officers saw him speeding and leaving a business.
Police said he traveled south on South Spruce Street and came to the intersection of East Levin Avenue. He failed to make the turn and then plowed into two homes.
The GMC hit the corner of one house and completely entered the other home where two women were sleeping. FOX 26 News and ABC 30 News wrote that the wreck occurred at around 11:30 p.m.
Car Plows Into Homes, Injures 2 Women
The debris trapped both victims inside. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated them from the wreckage.
Medical personnel rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment. One of them sustained significant injuries while the other suffered minor wounds.
Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, police affirmed that Sebastian Rodriguez abandoned the Yukon and fled on foot.
His passenger, 20-year-old Joshua Requejo-Gonzalez, tried to run away but officials caught him. They booked and charged the Tulare man with resisting or obstructing a police officer.
