2 Killed in Collision on State Route 152 Near Carlton Road Saturday
Hollister, CA (August 8, 2021) – Two people died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 152 on August 7, Saturday.
According to KION546 News, a man and a woman were riding a 2002 Harley Davidson heading west on the highway in Hollister. When the motorcyclist approached the area near Carlton Road, the male driver allowed the Harley Davidson to veer into the eastbound lanes.
Primary reports confirmed the motorbike collided into a Ford F-550 at some point. The force from the impact ejected both the male driver, and female passenger from the Harley Davidson.
Double Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Hollister, August 7
Shortly after 4 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and rendered aid to the two parties. The article published online mentioned paramedics pronounced the operator, a 43-year-old Hollister man, dead at the scene.
The motorcycle passenger, a 41-year-old Hollister woman, was reportedly rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The female patient later succumbed to her injuries and died at the Watsonville Community Hospital.
Authorities continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Salinas man driving the Ford appeared unharmed after the wreck. The driver stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal motorcycle accident in Hollister.
