Hui Juan Xuan, 72, Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash on Alum Rock Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (March 18, 2022) – Hui Juan Xuan was killed after a pedestrian crash on Alum Rock Avenue in San Jose.
The coroner’s office identified the 72-year-old San Jose woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place earlier this month on March 2.
The incident happened when Hui Juan Xuan was walking on Alum Rock Avenue in a crosswalk in San Jose. At the same time, a 2006 Chevrolet HHR was going west.
Victim Hit by Car
Police said for an unknown reason, the compact SUV then struck her across the entrance to northbound Interstate 680. The Mercury News wrote that the accident occurred at about 5:34 a.m.
Hui Juan Xuan sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found her down on the ground.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to the hospital, where she died on Thursday. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the car stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
