Multiple Vehicles Hit Man Near Herrick Avenue
Humboldt County, CA (December 31, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 Tuesday evening.
According to Redheaded Blackbelt News, multiple vehicles struck an individual in the southbound fast lane of the freeway in Humboldt County. Earlier reports indicated the horrible crash took place near Herrick Avenue at about 6 p.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 in Humboldt County
The Eureka Police, and Humboldt Bay Fire personnel responded to the accident scene. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The California Highway Patrol closed a portion of the highway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on Highway 101 in Humboldt County.
