1 Killed, 3 Injured in Traffic Collision on State Route 243 Near Pine Cove
Idyllwild, CA (May 9, 2021) – One person died, and several others suffered injuries following a rollover car crash on State Route 243 Sunday afternoon.
In the area near Pine Cove at the San Jacinto Mountains, an SUV with multiple occupants reportedly overturned.
The KESQ News reported the horrible crash took place at about 2:30 p.m.
Deadly Car Accident in Idyllwild, May 9
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found as many as four people with injuries. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to one victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added three other occupants in the SUV sustained moderate to major injuries. Ambulances rushed the patients to hospitals for treatment.
Additional details on the unfortunate have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal car crash in Idyllwild happened.
