1 Seriously Injured in Imperial County Crash on Austin Road Near Keystone
IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA (November 30, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash near Austin Road and Keystone Road in Imperial County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the accident shortly before 10:30 a.m.
CHP determined that the incident happened when two vehicles collided in Imperial County. For an unknown reason, they crashed on Austin Road, just south of West Keystone Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the areas of Brawley and Imperial. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Austin Road to shut down near Keystone following the wreck. The cause of the Imperial County crash is still under investigation.
