5 Injured in Indio Crash Near Clinton Street and Miles Avenue
INDIO, CA (November 27, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash near Clinton Street and Miles Avenue in Indio.
According to The Desert Sun and KESQ News, the accident took place late Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:36 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said seven vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Indio. They crashed for an unknown reason near Clinton Street and Miles Avenue.
Child Victim in Wreck
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found a total of five people hurt. Two victims, including a child, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
A helicopter took the juvenile while a ground ambulance rushed the other party to a nearby hospital for treatment.
One person suffered moderate injuries while the other two survived with minor wounds. The report did not disclose the names of the patients and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the cause of the Indio crash is still under investigation. Officers forced Clinton Street at Miles Avenue and multiple roads to shut down for hours following the wreck.
