Brian Kelly Critically Injured in Indio Motorcycle Crash on Monroe Street
INDIO, CA (May 20, 2022) – Indio firefighter Brian Kelly was critically injured after a crash on Monroe Street.
The KESQ News wrote that the accident took place on Sunday morning, May 15. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 10 a.m.
The incident happened when off-duty Indio firefighter Brian Kelly was riding a motorcycle on Monroe Street. For an unknown reason, he collided with another vehicle.
Wreck Near Requa Drive
The two crashed north of Requa Drive. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the rider down on the ground.
Brian Kelly sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Medical personnel then rushed him to the hospital and listed him in critical condition.
Loved ones set up a GiveInKind page to help cover the medical costs of the victim. The report did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped after the incident.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Monroe Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Indio crash is still under investigation.
