2 Injured in Indio Hit-and-Run at Jefferson Street and Miles Avenue
INDIO, CA (January 4, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Jefferson Street and Miles Avenue in Indio.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:15 p.m.
The incident began when a motorcyclist and a vehicle collided in Indio. The two crashed at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Miles Avenue.
Police said another car approached and then struck the motorcycle rider. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Driver Hits Motorcyclist, Flees Scene
They found the motorcyclist down on the ground and left suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the first vehicle ended up with minor injuries.
Medical personnel rushed both patients to a hospital and listed the rider in critical condition. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist in the second car did not stop to render aid and fled northbound on Jefferson from Miles.
They described the suspect vehicle as a dark grey pick-up truck, possibly full size. The Indio hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
