Man Seriously Injured in Indio Parking Lot Hit-and-Run at Rubidoux Street and Highway 111
INDIO, CA (February 6, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a pedestrian in an Indio parking lot at Rubidoux Street and Highway 111.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 4 p.m.
Indio police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the parking lot near Little Caesar’s Pizza and the Arco AM/PM gas station.
The driver hit the person at the corner of Rubidoux Street and Highway 111. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
They found the man left lying in the parking lot of the restaurant. He ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. Officers forced the parking lot near Rubidoux Street and Highway 111 to shut down following the crash.
