Pedestrian Killed in Industry Crash on Hacienda Boulevard Near Valley Boulevard
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (December 30, 2021) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Hacienda Boulevard in Industry.
According to an article published by the Whittier Daily News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:34 a.m.
The incident happened when a black Jeep Cherokee was traveling on Hacienda Boulevard, north of Valley Boulevard, in Industry.
Man Hit by Car
For an unknown reason, the car struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the street at the time. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found him down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the man in his 50s dead. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies said the driver of the Jeep stopped after hitting the victim. The man, either 69 or 70 years old, stayed at the site and cooperated with the officials.
Officers forced a stretch of Hacienda Boulevard to shut down for a time following the crash. The cause of the fatal Industry pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
