Irvine: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on East Yale Loop

Pickup Truck Strikes, Kills Woman Near Witherspoon

Irvine, CA (November 5, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on East Yale Loop Friday evening.

My News LA, and CBS News reported a female party attempted to cross East Yale Loop before the intersection at Witherspoon. While walking in the roadway, a white Chevrolet Silverado hit the woman. The horrible crash took place at about 6:15 p.m.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident on East Yale Loop in Irvine

Emergency crews later arrived at the scene and found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but she sadly succumbed to her trauma and died. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 76-year-old woman.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process. The Major Accident Investigation Team of the Irvine Police Department continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly crash on East Yale Loop.
