Passenger Injured in Collision at Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard Saturday
Hayward, CA (October 5, 2021) – One person died and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard.
The CBS News reported a sedan collided with a big rig at the Hayward intersection. Officials said the horrible crash took place on October 2, Saturday.
Shortly after 6:08 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found two people trapped in the heavily damaged sedan. Firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victims.
Isaias Hernandez Killed in Hayward Car Accident, October 2
The article published online said paramedics later rushed the driver and passenger of the sedan to Eden Medical Center for treatment. Despite life-saving measures, the driver succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. The Alameda County coroner’s bureau identified the deceased as Isaias Hernandez.
Meanwhile, the passenger reportedly sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities added the operator of the truck appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car and truck crash in Hayward.
