1 Killed in Isleton Crash at Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road
ISLETON, CA (September 4, 2021) – At least one was killed after a crash at Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road in Isleton.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:05 p.m.
CHP said a red sedan and a green agriculture truck pulling double trailers collided for an unknown reason in Isleton. The two crashed on Highway 12 at the intersection with Jackson Slough Road.
Car and Semi-Truck Collide
The car went 50 feet off the road and ended up with major damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that an occupant of the sedan died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Officials did not mention if the driver of the big rig sustained any injuries. The front portion of the truck obtained damage following the Isleton crash.
Meanwhile, CHP forced Highway 12 at Jackson Slough to shut down for more a time after the wreck. The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation.
