Israel Fenske Killed in Essex Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 40

Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man on Needles Freeway

Essex, CA (May 31, 2022) – Israel Fenske, a 44-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 40 on May 27.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a vehicle struck an individual on I-40, also known as Needles Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the wreck possibly involved multiple vehicles. First responders found at the scene a disabled pickup truck pulling a boat. The make and model of the other automobiles stopped near the crash site have not been revealed thus far.

Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 40 in Essex

Meanwhile, responding medical personnel reportedly found a person lying on the ground. Paramedics immediately rendered aid to the victim. Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities later identified the deceased as Israel Fenske, of Kingman Arizona.

Detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident on Interstate 40 in Essex.
