Bicyclist Injured in Ivahoe Hit-and-Run Near Beechwood Avenue and Road 158
IVANHOE, CA (May 26, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash near Beechwood Avenue and Road 158 in Ivanhoe.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 4:34 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Ivanhoe. The driver hit the cyclist near the intersection of Beechwood Avenue and Road 158.
Bicycle Rider Hit by Vehicle Near Highway 216
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Highway 216. They then found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the bicyclist and fled. Officers closed the area of Beechwood Avenue and Road 158 following the hit-and-run collision.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
