Teenager Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 49
Jackson, CA (November 15, 2022) – A 19-year-old male died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of State Highway 49 and Scottsville Boulevard, the Ledger Dispatch News reported.
Our sources indicated a 2021 white Ford F-350 was heading south on SR-49 Saturday evening. When the car approached the area near Scottsville Boulevard, the driver spotted a person walking or standing in the roadway. Officials said the motorist swerved his vehicle to the right in an attempt to avoid hitting the man. Unfortunately, the left side of the Ford still hit the pedestrian.

Shortly after 10:35 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the persona found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident at State Highway 49 and Scottsville Boulevard.
