Jacob McPherson, 34, Suspect in Deadly Collision on Highway 99 Thursday
Sacramento, CA (September 16, 2021) – Police arrested 34-year-old Jacob McPherson in relation with a deadly car crash that occurred on Highway 99 Thursday.
According to the CBS Sacramento News, Jacob McPherson was driving a reportedly stolen vehicle traveling on Calvine Road. Earlier reports indicated Elk Grove police launched a chase to apprehend the suspect. However, Jacob McPherson did not pull over and led the officers to a chase.
The article published online mentioned Jacob McPherson drove onto southbound Highway 99 going the wrong way. A few moments later, the stolen gold Honda Accord crashed head-on into another vehicle.
Investigators said Jacob McPherson showed signs of intoxication. The Elk Grove police confirmed they took the man into custody after the catastrophic incident.

Meanwhile, the innocent driver involved in the wreck reportedly sustained major injuries. Responding paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, authorities added a male passenger in the stolen vehicle sadly died from the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators believed the Jacob McPherson was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the unfortunate event. Further investigation on the fatal DUI car crash on Highway 99 is underway.
