James Gonzalez, 40, Jailed Year After Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Lancaster Boulevard
Lancaster, CA (May 7, 2021) – On May 7, Friday, authorities sentenced James Gonzalez to prison in relation with a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed 40-year-old James Gonzalez was behind the wheel of a white GMC Sierra driving on Lancaster Boulevard. In the area near Elm Avenue, the motorist struck a male party. The unfortunate event took place on August 4, 2018.

The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian. According to the Antelope Valley Times, the victim suffered fatal injuries and died as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed the driver of the GMC did not stop after the catastrophic incident. No immediate information was then available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Officers investigated the case for several months. In January 2020, police eventually arrested James Gonzalez.
