James Miller, 57, Killed in Santa Barbara Crash at Canon Perdido and Quarantina

SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 3, 2022) – James Miller was killed after a motorcycle crash at Canon Perdido and Quarantina streets in Santa Barbara.

Police identified the 57-year-old Santa Barbara man as the victim of the collision which took place last month on December 15.

The incident began on James B. Miller was riding a motorcycle east on Canon Perdido Street, approaching  Quarantina Street, in Santa Barbara. Meanwhile, a BMW SUV was going south.

Police said for an unknown reason, the two collided after they pulled into the intersection at the same time. The Noozhawk News and KEYT News wrote that the accident occurred at around 10 a.m.

Motorcycle and Car Collide

James Miller became ejected from his bike and landed 50 feet from the crash site.

His helmet ended up dislodged as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the rider lying on the ground.

He sustained serious injuries following the wreck. Medical personnel rushed him to the Cottage Hospital where he died on December 28.

Police described the driver of the BMW as a juvenile. The cause of the Santa Barbara crash is still under investigation.
