Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Interstate 5
San Diego, CA (January 24, 2023) – Jarrod Ray Beck, a 29-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
According to FOX5 News, a grey Lexus sport utility vehicle struck a male party in the northbound side of the freeway near Sampson Street. Earlier reports indicated several other passing cars run over the body lying in the roadway. The catastrophic incident took place on January 12, Thursday.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident Near Sampson Street in San Diego
Emergency crews responded to the crash site and found the pedestrian lifeless. Paramedics attempted to revive the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased as Jarrod Ray Beck, of San Diego.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the drivers involved in the unfortunate event.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the deadly pedestrian accident happened on Interstate 5 in San Diego.
