Men Killed in Crash on I-210 Freeway Identified
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 26, 2022) – Jason Curnel, 56, and Miguel Martinez, 57, of Covina, died on the Foothill (210) Freeway early Wednesday morning in a crash between a semi-truck and a vehicle in Verdugo Hills.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 12:08 a.m. on May 25th in the westbound lanes of the freeway at La Tuna Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Additionally, the two men were riding in a vehicle that crashed underneath a big rig truck. Paramedics pronounced both men deceased on scene.
The vehicles were found on the freeway’s right shoulder, the CHP said.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down three lanes of the freeway due to the crash and subsequent investigation.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified Jason Curnel and Miguel Martinez on its website.
Finally, liability for the crash will be determined as investigators determine the cause of the crash.
