Jessie Mendez Hospitalized After Traffic Collision Near Sunset Boulevard Thursday
Arvin, CA (April 16, 2021) – An accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle resulted in injuries to Jessie Mendez, according to Bakersfield.com.
Preliminary investigation revealed the two vehicles crashed on Comanche Drive in Arvin Thursday afternoon. The news article published online indicated a Suburban towing a utility trailer was at a stop on the right shoulder southbound Comanche Drive. Then, the driver attempted to make a U-turn.
The Suburban ended up driving into the path of an oncoming 2010 Kawasaki EX250J. Officials mentioned the motorcyclist was heading south on Comanche Drive when the collision happened.

Per local news source, the motorcyclist slammed into the side of the driver of the Suburban. The force from the impact ejected the motorcycle operator. Responding paramedics transported the injured rider to the hospital, where he later sadly died.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned a passenger in the Suburban reportedly sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Authorities later identified the injured woman as Jessie Mendez. An ambulance transferred the patient to Kern Medical for treatment.
Additional details on the traffic accident in Arvin have not been revealed thus far. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the horrible crash.
