Jesus Herrera, 23, Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 28, 2022) – A pedestrian crash killed Jesus Herrera in the city of Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 23-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last month.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Jesus Manuel Herrera for an unknown reason in Bakersfield. Police said the driver hit him near the intersection of Chester Lane and California Avenue.
Driver Hits Man
The pedestrian, Jesus Herrera, ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics then arrived at the scene and found him down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to the Kern Medical, where he died. The Kern Golden Empire and the Bakersfield Californian wrote that the pedestrian collision occurred on February 22.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Chester and California to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
