John Batson, 56, Killed in Homeland Crash Near Juniper Flats and Watson Roads
HOMELAND, CA (May 27, 2022) – A motorcycle crash killed John Batson near Juniper Flats and Watson roads in Homeland.
The coroner’s office identified the 56-year-old Hemet man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when John Batson was riding a motorcycle on Juniper Flats Road near Watson Road in Homeland. For an unknown reason, he collided with another vehicle.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed near the intersection, just north of Highway 74. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The Patch and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on May 25 at about 5:10 p.m. Paramedics arrived and soon pronounced John Batson dead at the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the car ended up unharmed following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Juniper Flats and Watson roads to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Homeland crash is still under investigation.
