1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Pomona (60) Freeway Friday
Jurupa Valley, CA (July 9, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Pomona (60) Freeway early Friday morning.
According to My News LA, a passenger vehicle collided with a box truck in the westbound side of Interstate 60. The force from the impact left the compact pickup wedged underneath the truck.
The crash happened near Van Buren Boulevard in Jurupa Valley.

Shortly after 3 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found one person trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. Authorities said the driver of the pickup suffered major injuries as a result of the accident. An ambulance rushed the patient to a Riverside hospital in critical condition.
The operator of the box truck appeared unharmed.
Investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car and truck accident in Jurupa Valley.
