Horse Killed, Rider Injured in Jurupa Valley Crash Near Limonite and Ridgeview
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (October 9, 2022) – A crash killed a horse and injured its rider near Limonite and Ridgeview avenues in Jurupa Valley.
According to an article published by The Daily Bulletin, the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 7:09 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said a Mitsubishi struck the horse and its rider in Jurupa Valley. The car struck the two for an unknown reason in the area of Limonite and Ridgeview avenues.
Victims Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the horse stuck in the vehicle. The horse obtained severe injuries while the rider sustained minor injuries.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Cal Fire added that the horse would be euthanized as a result of the Jurupa Valley accident. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mitsubishi ended up unharmed following the incident.
Officers forced Limonite to shut down between Etiwanda and Ridgeview avenues after the collision. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
