Kenneth Long, 77; and Theresa Long, 72, Injured in La Grange Road Crash
TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (June 7, 2021) – A car crash injured Kenneth Long and Theresa Long on La Grange Road in Tuolumne County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the Auberry residents as victims of the wreck which took place on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened when Kenneth Long and Theresa Long were riding a 2017 Ford F350 south on La Grange Road. At the same time, a 2008 Toyota Camry was going north.
CHP said the driver of the Toyota, 48-year-old Ricky Andrew Haines, crossed over the double yellow lines for an unknown reason. The Oakdale man went directly into the path of the Ford.
Head-On Collision Near Paseo Seven in Tuolumne County
He then slammed head-on into the pickup truck, north of Paseo Seven Legends. The Union Democrat and My Mother Lode wrote that the accident occurred on June 5 at about 4:27 p.m.
Kenneth Long, 77; and Theresa Long, 72, sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived and took them to the Adventist Health Sonora for treatment.
Medical personnel treated the driver of the Ford at the site for minor wounds. An air ambulance transported Haines to a hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, officers forced a portion of La Grange Road to shut down following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Tuolumne County wreck.
