Kern County Head-On Crash Near Kimberlina Road and Shafter Avenue

2 Seriously Injured in Crash Near Kimberlina Road and Shafter Avenue

KERN COUNTY, CA (March 13, 2022) – Two were seriously injured after a car crash near Kimberlina Road and Shafter Avenue in Kern County.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:18 a.m.

CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Shafter. They crashed near the intersection of Kimberlina Road and Shafter Avenue.

2 Cars Collide

The incident log described the cars as a black Honda Accord and a white BMW sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel found two people who sustained major injuries to their lower extremities as a result of the collision. They then took the patients to Kern Medical for treatment.

The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Kimberlina and Shafter to shut down following the crash.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
