Passenger Dies in Motorcycle Accident at Union City Boulevard and Kohoutek Way
Union City, CA (February 5, 2022) – Kiko Leon, a 34-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on May 22, 2021.
The East Bay Times News reported Leon was a passenger on a motorcycle traveling in the area near Union City Boulevard and Kohoutek Way. When the motorbike approached the intersection, it crashed and possibly ejected both the driver and passenger.
Officials mentioned the catastrophic incident took place at about 8:15 p.m. When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the victims. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the passenger but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Kiko Leon.
Meanwhile, the Union City police investigators discovered the female driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Authorities charged the suspect with manslaughter and drunk driving.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
