Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Collision Near Grossmont High School Monday
La Mesa, CA (February 7, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Fletcher Parkway earl Monday morning.
The NBC News reported a solo-car crashed on the eastbound lanes of Fletcher Parkway. Authorities mentioned the catastrophic incident took place in a neighborhood near Grossmont High School.
Shortly after 2 a.m., rescue teams arrived in the 9000 block of Fletcher Parkway. First responders found the passenger vehicle smashed against a tree. Officials believed the collision ejected the driver onto the roadway. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to this injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old passenger reportedly sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information of the injured passengers have not been discussed thus far.
Further investigation is underway on the fatal accident on Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa.
