At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on SR-125 Tuesday
La Mesa, CA (May 7, 2021) – On May 4, Tuesday, a suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route 125, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., CHP logged an accident involving a red Chevrolet Malibu and a white Chevrolet Impala. The Impala reportedly struck the Malibu on SR-125 at Lemon Avenue.
The force from the impact caused the Malibu to careen towards the center divider of the highway. When emergency teams arrived at the site, they found the Malibu slammed against the barrier.
Medical personnel at the scene checked the conditions of all occupants in the Malibu. According to the CHP dispatch, at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.

Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver of the Impala fled the scene. A tow truck was called to the crash site to impound the abandoned Impala.
No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect. Further investigation on the injury car crash in La Mesa is underway.
