La Quinta crash Highway 111
1 Killed, 1 Injured in La Quinta Crash at Highway 111 and Dune Palms Road
LA QUINTA, CA (December 30, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another at Highway 111 and Dune Palms Road in La Quinta.
According to The Desert Sun and KESQ News, the tragic accident took place late Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened on December 29 when multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in La Quinta. They crashed at the intersection of Highway 111 and Dune Palms Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced one individual dead at the scene. Another occupant who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CAL FIRE forced the area of Highway 111 and Dune Palms to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal La Quinta crash is still under investigation.
