Lacey Duval, 34, Fatal Victim in Traffic Collision on Highway 70 Tuesday
Plumas, CA (June 9, 2021) – Lacey Duval, a 34-year-old woman, died following a suspected DUI car crash on Highway 70 on June 8, Tuesday.
The KRCRTV News reported a 40-year-old man was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling on Highway 70 in Plumas County. In the area just west of C Road, the motorist lost control while driving on a curve.
According to the article published online, the car veered into oncoming traffic. The 2009 Honda Pilot eventually went airborne and slammed into a large tree.

Officials said the passenger, Lacey Duval of Chico, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene shortly after 8:40 p.m.
Meanwhile, police reportedly arrested the motorist for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Authorities added the driver was operating the Honda on a suspended license when the catastrophic incident happened.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
