1 Killed in Lake Elsinore Crash on 15 Freeway Near Indian Truck Trail
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (April 9, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person on the 15 Freeway near Indian Truck Trail in Lake Elsinore.
The California Highway Patrol said the tragic accident took place early Saturday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 1:54 a.m.
The incident happened when six vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Lake Elsinore. They crashed on the northbound side of the 15 Freeway, south of Indian Truck Trail.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
CHP described three of the vehicles as a black Honda Accord, a white BMW and a motorcycle. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Corona.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The report did not mention if any other party ended up hurt in the incident. Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway to shut down for more than two hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Lake Elsinore crash is still under investigation.
