1 Killed, 1 Injured in Lake Elsinore Crash at Grand and McVicker Canyon Park
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (February 6, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another at Grand Avenue and McVicker Canyon Park Road in Lake Elsinore.
According to an article published by The Daily Bulletin, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
The incident began when the motorcyclist was going west on Grand Avenue, approaching McVicker Canyon Park Road, in Lake Elsinore.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said for an unknown reason, the male rider collided with a vehicle in the intersection.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the 38-year-old man down on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Officials soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Medical personnel took the other driver, a 25-year-old man, to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced Grand Avenue to shut down from Lincoln Street to Audelo Street following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Lake Elsinore crash is still under investigation.
