Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Lakeland Village Crash at Grand and Ortega
LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA (April 7, 2021) – A crash left a pedestrian badly injured at Grand Avenue and Ortega Highway in Lakeland Village.
According to an article published by My News LA, the collision occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the crash at about 6 a.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Ortega Highway in the Lakeland Village area.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Market
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Lake Elsinore Market. They found the victim who ended up suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. Cal Fire did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the victim. Officers forced the intersection of Grand and Ortega to shut down for a time following the Lakeland Village crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the accident.
