Pedestrian Badly Injured in Lamont Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 184
LAMONT, CA (November 10, 20210) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 184 in Lamont.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision shortly after 6 p.m.
The incident happened when a black vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in Lamont. The driver hit her on Highway 184, known as Main Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the McDonald’s restaurant. They found the victim left lying on the road as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled northbound on Highway 184. Officers forced the roadway to close following the collision.
The cause of the Lamont hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
