Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman on 50th Street West Wednesday
Lancaster, CA (April 1, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident on 50th Street West on March 31, the Antelope Valley Times reported.
Officials said a woman driving a Toyota Rav4 struck a female party in the northbound side of 50th Street West. The horrible crash took place near the intersection of Avenue J-8 in Lancaster.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Lancaster, March 31
Shortly after 8:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the female pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the catastrophic incident appeared unharmed.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was outside of a marked or unmarked crosswalk when the crash happened. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Lancaster.
