Larita Davis, 48, Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash at 7th Street and Campus Drive
LONG BEACH, CA (August 23, 2022) – Larita Davis was killed after a pedestrian crash at 7th Street and Campus Drive in Long Beach.
The coroner’s office identified the 48-year-old woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Larita Davis was walking eastbound on East 7th Street near Campus Drive in the city of Long Beach. A 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling in the same direction at the time.
Police said for an unknown reason, the car struck her in the intersection. The Long Beach Post and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on August 22 at about 1:40 a.m. near the Cal State Long Beach.

Larita Davis sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police added that the Long Beach man driving the Mitsubishi stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Officers forced the area of 7th Street and Campus Drive to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the Long Beach pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
