Larry Dewaynee Kirven Jr., 38, Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Edison Highway
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 25, 2021) – Larry Dewaynee Kirven Jr. was killed after a motorcycle crash on Edison Highway in Bakersfield.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the 38-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred last week on Wednesday.
The incident happened on June 16 when Larry Dewaynee Kirven Jr. was riding a motorcycle east on Edison Highway in Bakersfield.
Collision Near Sterling Road
The California Highway Patrol said a Ford SUV then entered the highway directly into the path of the motorcycle. In the process, the motorcycle clipped the front of the car.
The rider ended up ejected from his bike, east of Sterling Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found him suffering from major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel rushed Larry Kirven Jr. to the Kern Medical, where he died. The Bakersfield Californian and FOX 26 News wrote that the accident took place shortly before 5 a.m.
The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
