Fatal Traffic Collision on Cannon Road Near I-5 Offramp
North County, CA (January 25, 2023) – Laszlo Nagy, a 67-year-old Carlsbad resident, died following a motorcycle accident that occurred in the area of Cannon Road and Interstate 5 Freeway offramp.
On January 17, Tuesday, Nagy was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling at an unknown direction on Cannon Road. The FOX5 published an article online reporting the motorcyclist collided with a Toyota van as he approached the junction at northbound I-5.
Officials said the crash took place at approximately 4:45 p.m.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Cannon Road in North County
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the rider suffering in serious injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim then transported him to a local hospital. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical staff, the man sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased as Laszlo Nagy.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the van stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal crash happened at Cannon Road and Interstate 5 in North County.
