At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Highway 101
Laytonville, CA (December 2, 2022) – One person suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101, the Redheaded Blackbelt News reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided head-on on the highway in Laytonville. Per local news source, the wreck involved a Hyundai Santa Fe and another car of unknown make and model. Due to the force from the impact, one of the vehicles careened off the roadway and plowed into the porch of a roadside home. Authorities added the second vehicle came to a rest in a creek along the highway.
Injury Car Accident in Laytonville
Shortly after 9:48 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties found at the crash site. After the evaluation, medical personnel determined a female occupant in the Hyundai sustained injuries as a result of the incident. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
The California Highway Patrol officers, and personnel from other agencies continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic crash that happened on Highway 101 in Laytonville.
