At Least 1 Killed in Collision on I-5 Freeway Sunday
Lebec, CA (May 9, 2021) – A deadly car accident occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway Sunday morning, the KGET News reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided on Interstate 5, in the area near Kern County Fire Station 56. The force from the impact caused one car to careen off the roadway.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the car plowed through a fence. The catastrophic incident took place at about 5:45 a.m.
Deadly Car Accident in Lebec, May 9
The KGET News reported responding medical personnel found at least one person with serious injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal car accident in Lebec happened.
